The tree was constructed by owner Sharla Valeski from clear glass San Pelligrino bottles. Newspaper poof balls with ribbon dangled from the ceiling. Portrait of Van Gogh on linen was also by Sharla Valeski. The Next Gallery had many items for Holiday giving such as Tokyo Milk soaps, perfumes and lip balms, Ming Zodiac figures, votive candles and of course lots of beautiful art.

Grand opening
On October 7th, 2009 The Next Gallery had a grand opening reception during October's Artwalk. The downtown location, just one block from the downtown library, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Jacksonville and Hemming Plaza assured there would be crowds of people in the pristine gallery. It is estimated that over 500 people came through the doors that evening. Present were the artists, Sharla Valeski (owner) and her husband, Brent Valeski who had several of his photographs on display. Jennifer Woodall Graham and Mo Mansoor, also artists in the gallery, greeted guests, patrons and friends who came in to celebrate the grand opening.
